Martha (Mart) Keathley was the eldest of the six Keathley children and lived in Tampa, FL her entire life. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1934 and went to work. She married W.C. (Bill) Schick on Jan 17, 1942, and they had a son, Michael C. Schick on Nov 10 of the same year. They divorced in 1943. For many years, Martha was a secretary for Paul Lake, a local attorney, and eventually married him, on Oct. 23, 1964. And any time anyone in the family needed legal advice, Martha was there to help..

Music meant everything to Martha and she was an accomplished pianist and organist. Our regular family gatherings, held at Easter, Independence Day and Thanksgiving each year, always included sitting around listening to her and her sister, Izzy, play the piano and organ. She sang in the choir at the Presbyterian Church in Tampa her entire adult life.

She lived near her son, Michael, and his family, and visited with them often.
